The given graph illustrates the proportion of young students who learned how to play violin, guitar, piano and drums in three years 2005, 2010 and 2015.
Overall, the percentage of students playing piano and guitar is always higher than two while the difference between them gradually increases over the years. It is clear that only the figure for students learning to play violin witnessed a downward trend over the period.
Regarding two higher categories piano and guitar, there was a significant rise in the rate of these figures which came from over 10% to almost 40%. Specifically, in the first year the proportion of students who tried to play piano was a bit higher but in the last year of the period the figure for guitar overcame and became the highest one in the graph.
In terms of two lower categories, drums and violin, in 2005 the percentage of students who participated in drums and violin classes was about 4% and 10% respectively. In the next 10 years, the figure for drums increased slightly to under 10% while that for violin experienced an opposite trend and reached the lowest point at around 4%.
