The given diagram illustrates the number of international students at Canadian college, who chose Computer Science course. The provided statistics distributed by gender and shows proportion of students from five another countries who enrolled in Networking or Database core option.
The first three countries where the gap between the number of male and female students are small include Singapore, China and France. Additionally, in China, there is the highest number of overseas students: both male and female, which are equal to 8 and 9, respectively. There are a small difference in the proportion of men and women at university in Singapore. However women who choose the Networking core option are more than those who enrolled in Database core option by a ratio of 7 to 2. In contrast, in France there are no women students who enrolled in Networking core option.
Looking specifically, the graph shows some countries where there is a big difference and a notable gap between male and female students. If in Malaysia women outnumber men for almost twice, in Sri Lanka, however, female students are half of proportion of males. Also Sri Lanka is the only country, where male students from abroad exceeds female students.
Overall, in all countries women dwarfs men by a small gap, with the exception of Sri Lanka who is the only country with opposite trend.
