This bar chart illustrates the perccentage of attendace of people from five age groups in three music events (classical, opera and popular) in Australia in 2006.
Overall, the mojority of people like to listen the popular music event and but less like in mature age groups. Similarly, the opera event is the second most listening event in all groups, while the classical concerts attracted the fewest people.
Looking at the details, the highest single figure was for popular music among 15-24 year olds at about 38 percentage. Popular music drew large audience in the 35-44 group (roughly 32%) and 25-34 group (about 26%), but declined to around 11% for 45-54 and only about 3% for those aged 55 and above. Opera attendace peaked in the 35-44 group at approximatelty 25% and was similar for the 15-24 and 25-44 groups at about 12% and reamained moderate for the oldr groups (around 15%). Classical music had the lowest turnout across all the ages fluctuating between roughly 5% and 11%.
