The bar chart illustrates various methods of waste management in Toronto, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur and Amman in a particular period. Units are presented in percentage.
Overall, the landfill method in Toronto reaches the apex around 74% among other methods, while the same achievement also recorded in Amman around 50%. Hence, the other cities, Madrid and Kuala lumpur choose to dispose waste by incineration as the main method.
In terms of compositing, the four cities apply it slightly under 10%, followed by recycling method which peaked around 22% in Madrid and Kuala Lumpur. The lowest compositing percentage is showed by city of Toronto which is only about 8%. On contrary, the landfill method of waste disposal records a different trend in each city, 38% in Madrid, 49% in Amman and about 15% in Kuala Lumpur as the lowest achievement.
On the other hand, the increation method is the least applied in Toronto, around 10% but Kuala lumpur uses as the main method which peaked around 51%. While in Madrid, incineration method is applied more often than in Amman (40% and 38% respectively).
As conclusion, there are four main methods to manage waste in the selected cities and each apply all of it in different capacities.
