Overall, the tendency to abstain from physical activities increased gradually with age for both genders, with women being more inactive compared to their male counterparts in every age bracket.
Regarding the two youngest groups, roughly 12% of men aged 18-24 who engaged in no physical activity, compared to around 18% of female youngsters, marking a 6% difference between the two genders. A similar trend, but to a smaller extent, was seen in the 25-34 age group, with the respective figures for men and women being approximately 22% and 27%.
The remaining age cohorts follow a comparable pattern. The proportion of men aged 35-44 who were physically inactive accounts for 27%, which was equal with the figures for women in the 25-34 age fraction. Among elderly individuals above 55 years old, men with the same habit represents nearly 35%, in comparison with around 43% for women.
