The bar chart illustrates the wind energy production in four disparate naitons, namely India, Denmark, Germany and United States over the course of 15 years, starting in 1985.
Overall, wind energy production was on the rise in all countries throughout the surveyed period, with the exception of United States. Notably, while the United States was consistently the leading wind energy producer from 1985 to 1995, it was overtaken by Denmark in 2000.
The amount of energy generated from wind in India, Denmark, Germany, United States all witnessed upward trends. The figure for india rose gradually from exactly 200 megawatts in 1985 to 1200 megawatts in 2000.The similar trend was true for Denmark, but at a much higher levels: it also started at 2000 at 1985 before surging to roughly 1600 at the end of the period. Similarly, the was a steady increase from 400 megawatts to 900 megawatts in the figure for Germany in the same period.
However, looking at the United States, it is obvious that United States was the biggest energy producer in 1985, at 1200 megawatts. The figure increased significantly to more than 1600 megawatts, followed by a slight drop to 1500 megawatts in 2000
