Overall, the capital expenditure for both countries vary throughout the 6 year interval, with both China and India’s investments increasing and decreasing sporadically. Morever, it is also evident that China’s investments are in greater value than India’s in the given period.
Initially, China’s direct investments are valued around 80 $Bn, the figure declined and hovered during the next three years and had a sharp increase in 2018, reaching over 100 $Bn before plutmetting close to 40$Bn in 2019. India also follows this trend, starting off at 20$Bn before fluctuating it’s investments in the coming years, peaking in 2016 at over 60$Bn and dropping close it’s initial value at the end of the period.
It is also clear that both China’s investments are much larger in value, with annual investments almost being half of India’s in 2018, with the only exception being 2015, when India overtakes China in foreign investments. Intrestingly, near the end of the timeframe, both countries have it’s lowest investments in comparison to the other years.
