Overall, the quantity of male and female learners studying full-time education increased slightly but always less popular than part-time students. In addition, the number of full-time learners in both genders was nearly equal in the last year.
The number of male students learners learning full-time further education started at roughly 100 thousand and went up steadily to about 180 thousand. Although female learners in full-time education was nearly a half, about 50 thousand, but it increased sharply and remained the same number in the last period.
The number of male learners involved in part-time further education in 1970/71 was roughly 1000 thousand but went down by 140 thousand and increased slightly to nearly 900 thousand in 1990/91. However, the number of female students in the first period was nearly 800 thousand, which was less than male but it increased significantly to about 1100 thousand and remained a huge gap compared to male students.
