The graph depicts the changes in the amount of access to a community website in two first years.
Overall, the visits grew sharply and second year’s access was exceptionally higher than that of first year. Additionally, there was a tendency that summer and winter months’ access increased remarkably compared to other months.
Examining September to February, the number of visits rose gradually and had a similar pattern in the second year. Initially, there were only about 2,400 visits to this website in first year’s September, which subsequently increased by roughly 7,500 and reached its peak in the first six months in November and December. However, this figure declined sharply to around 1,5000 visits in the first February, reaching its lowest point. In the second year, the fluctuation repeated with a rise of 14,000 visits to the website in the two last months of the year, this number then fell subtly to 10,000 visits in February. Surprisingly, a huge gap of approximately 8,500 clicks was witnessed in February in two years, indicating that second year’s visits had a significant growth.
Regarding other months, the pattern of two years was quite similar and second year’s visits remained higher than that of first year, except for August. In terms of first year’s access, there was an upward trend, the figure rapidly increased and reached its peak at 15,000 visits, which was the highest of the first year’s figure, in August. By the same token, uses of website in second years rocketed to over 20,000 in June and remained stable for the next month before dropping to about 11,000 visits in August. Briefly, each month showed a gap of roughly 7,500 visits in two years time, with second year’s uses constantly outnumbered that of first year.
