The bar chart compares the share of adults population who were overweight or obese in one country in 40 years since 1965, while the pie chart illustrates the rate of adults categorized as underweight, healthy, overweight, obese or severly obese in 2015.
At first glance, it is evident that the prevelance of overweight and obeseity among adults rose steadily during this period, culminating in a significant portion of the population was affected in 2015.
According to the bar chart, the rise in the number of mature people who are overweight or obese was gradual from 1965 to 1985. The first considerable increase occured between 1985 and 1995, from about 48% to around 60%. In the next ten year period there was a similar, sightly large rise. By 2015, approximately 75% of residents weighted too much.
The pie chart presents in 2015 only under a third of people were healthy and underwight. Over 70% of adults were overweight, too fat and severely obese. Specially, the percentage of grown-ups who were dangerously fat and their health was at risk, was 6%.
