The bar chart illustrates the percentage of adults who were overweight or obese in a particular country from 1965 to 2015. Meanwhile, the pie chart presents the distribution of different weight categories among adults in 2015.
Overall, in 1965 the percentage of obese adults were the lowest before it reach the highest in 2015. There was an upward trends between 1965 and 2015. Besides, the pie chart has the highest percentage in overweight ,and reach the bottom in severly obese.
It can be seen that in the diagram 1, the percentage was 45 in 1965 and it still remain stable around 46 percents from 1975 to 1985 before it started to increase dramatically from 55 to 70 between 1995 and 2015.
The pie chart reveals that in 2015, only 29% of adults were classified as healthy or underweight. Meanwhile, 34% were overweight, 31% were obese, and 6% were severely obese. This suggests that more than 70% of the population faced weight-related health concerns.
