The Bart chart depict the proportion of Australian males and females taking part in four different sport activities after school in 2010. Overall,the mos popular sport among boys was football, whereas netball was the preferred among girls. A higher percentage of girls engaged in netball and swimming compared to boys, while boys showed a significant preference for football and basketball. The proportion of boys and girls for no sports remain a similar.
In detail approximately 20% of boys played football, making it the most popular among them. However only 5% of girls participated in football. In contrast, netball attracted about 18% of girls, while participation of boys was nearly 3%.
Swimming was a popular choice for both genders,but slightly more girls took part in in(16%), compared to boys(14%). Basketball had similar participation rates, although boys was outnumbering girls.
Finally, the percentage of boys and girls who did not engage in any sports, was probably low, with both figures staining similar. This suggests that the majority of Australian adults were involved in physical activities after school in 2010
