The maps illustrate how Riverside Park has changed from 2010 to the present day. Overall, the park has witnessed a significant transformation, turning from a simple recreational park into a more developed leusire area. Notably, the overall layout of the park remained relatively unchanged, and new amenities such as a cafe, a hotel, swings, and a cycle path have been added.
In 2010, Riverside park was relatively simple in layout, with a river occupying the north, and vegetation was located in the southwest. The Heritage Railway extended from southeast to northeast, with stations at both ends; meanwhile, a road, connected to the northeast station, formed a loop around the park centre. Three toilets and three parking lots could be found along the smaller road, shaped like a tree branch, in the center of the park.
By now, the area has undergone dramatic development. Most noticeable changes include the addition of a cycle path, which borders the river, and the parking lots also have increased in number. Another alteration is that the hotel was constructed in the southeastern part, and the cafe was added further north. Swings have been added in the northern-central area, while vegetation and the railway continue to be located in their original places
