Overall, Countries A, C and D experienced upward trends across the period, while Country B remained broadly stable. Country D consistently had the highest participation rates, and it also showed the most dramatic increase by 2010.
In 2000, Country A had the lowest percentage of youth in higher education at around 36%. This figure rose steadily over the years, reaching about 48% in 2005 and approximately 57% in 2010. Country C followed a similar but more moderate pattern, increasing slightly from 50% in 2000 to roughly 52% in both 2005 and 2010.
By contrast, Country B showed very little overall change. It stood at 40% in 2000, dipped marginally to around 38% in 2005, and then returned to its initial level in 2010.
Country D recorded the highest proportions throughout the period. It grew from 60% in 2000 to 65% in 2005, before rising sharply to about 80% in 2010, representing the most substantial growth among the four countries.
