Overall, boys in the given study favored playing sports and going to the park the most while the reverse was true in the case of their female counterparts. By contrast, girls were the most attracted by art and craft; however, this leisure activity was taken by the lowest share of boys.
To elaborate, 25% and 27% of the examined boys played sports and went to the park, far exceeding the figures for girls by a gap of 13% and 15% respectively. Interestingly, there was no discrepancy in the interest of boys and girls for computer games, with each group accounting for 10% of their leisure time.
On the other hand, girls exhibited a stronger inclination towards artistic pursuit and books, with 25% and 17% respectively, which surpassed the mere 5% and 10% of boys. The share of girls interested in DVDs was insignificantly higher than that of their male counterparts, which was 17% and 15%.
