Overall, boys generally favored outdoor activities such as playing sports and going to the park, while girls showed a greater inclination towards indoor activities including art and crafts and reading books. In addition, computer games and DVDs were popular with both genders.
Moving to a detailed analysis, approximately 29% of boys devoted time to playing sports in their leisure time, distantly surpassing girls (around 12%). This difference was also seen in the percentage of males going to the park (25%), which was nearly twice as high as that of females. In contrast, the rate of playing computer games exhibited equal interest (15%).
Concerning the remaining notable disparities, reading books was more common among girls (18%), compared to about 5% of boys. Girls showed an inclination towards art and crafts, with 25% engaging in, exceeding the mere 5% of boys. Finally, both sexes were interested in DVDs, at 15% for male youngsters and 18% for female ones.
