The chart illustrates the proportion of boys and girls participating in six types of entertainment in 2010.
Overall, girls outnumbered boys in three of six activities, whereas boys only exceeded in two activities. Art and craft were the most favorite activity of girls. Meanwhile, sports were the most preferable activity by boys.
Among the entertainments which girls dominated. Art and craft had the highest percentage, with 25% compared to only roughly 7% of the boys. Similarly, books and DVDs showed similar trends. The proportion of girls reading books far exceeded that of boys, with respective figures being 17% and 10%. In addition, the percentage of girls watching DVDs was about 17%, and the figures for boys was minimal lower, at 15%.
In contrast, sports recorded the highest figure for boys, with it standing at around 27%, exceeding that of girls by only 12%. Similarly, while 25% of the teenage boys in the survey often went to the park, only 12% of girls did so. Additionally, computer games showed the smallest difference between the two sexes, with same figures of 15%.
