Regarding the year 1985, there were around 10000 people married in the USA, which was the largest number of people among other countries, and approximately 5000 people divorced there. The UK and Japan both had about 7,000 marriages, compared to nearly 3,000 and 1,000 divorces respectively. In Germany, there were about 6000 marriages and 2000 divorces, while in Denmark, there were about 5000 married, and 3000 divorced.
Speaking of the statistics in 2010, the USA had about 9000 marriages, which is 1000 people lower than in 1985, and the same amount of divorces as in the past, 5000. In the UK, the number of marriages increased to around 6000, however the amount of divorces increased to approximately 4000. Japan’s figure of marriages dropped negligibly to 6000, while the divorce statistics increased to 2000, which is 1000 more than in 1985. Germany’s marriage statistics were around 5000, whereas Denmark’s grew to nearly 7000. The divorce rates of both Germany and Denmark remained the same compared to 1985, around 2 thousand and 3 thousand respectively.
