The graphs presents the rainfall in 1980 and 2000 in grasslands with hot desert climate. Overall, 1980 had a significant higher rate of precipitation than 2000. Besides, the wettest months in 1980 were the driest 20 years later, and the opposite.
The precipitation in January 1980 was just above 250 mm, which slightly declined in February. After March, when the rainfall was around 325 mm, the rates halved steadily until July to just over 150 mm. The following months, until November, rates went up again to what the year started with in January, and this amount of precipitation stayed the same in December.
In January 2000, there fell only on- fifth of what fell in the same month of 1980. This even became less in the next three months, with 48 mm for February, and 47 mm for both March and April. Unlike 1980, rainfall increased in the following months, to 51 mm in May and June, and 2 millimeters more in the two following months. September had a drop to 49 mm, whereafter it steadily grew to August rates until November. The year 2000 ended with the same amount of rainfall as September, with only 49 mm of rain.
