The bar chart and pie chart illustrate the percentage of people in Glasgow having three levels of education (university, school, and those with no qualification) in 2010. Information is divided into five age groups in the bar chart and by gender in the pie chart.
In General, it can be seen that the majority of people with university degrees were younger people, while in the oldest group people have no qualifications. The number of women and men showed a slight difference between their level of education.
The percentage of people with a university degree was up to 70% in the younger age group, whereas 50-75 years old was smaller at only 50% compared to the 75+ age group. Meanwhile no qualification had the opposite figure, 72% for the 75 age group or over, followed by 20% for the 50-75 age group, while 9% accounted for the younger age group. Afterwards, school certificates had a similar proportion at around 20% for all age groups, however, the 75+ age group was low at 3%.
The proportion of men and women who had a school certificate was the same at 33%. For university degrees women were 3% smaller than men at 32%, at the same time women who have no qualification were accounted higher than men at 38% and 35% respectively
