This diagram below illustrates the intermediate mortage expenditure across three distinct regions after 10 years starting off in 2005.
Overall, it is evident that housing costs increased in all three regions over the ten-year period. Among the three, Region C consistently had the highest housing costs, while Region A had the lowest throughout both years.
In 2010, Region C recorded the highest average housing cost, slightly above $300,000. This was followed by Region B at approximately $250,000, while Region A had the lowest cost, just under $200,000. By 2020, all regions experienced a rise in housing prices. Region C remained the most expensive, with costs rising to nearly $400,000. Region B also saw a notable increase, reaching just over $300,000, while Region A showed a more modest growth to around $220,000.
In terms of the rate of increase, Region B saw the most significant growth in absolute terms, with an increase of over $50,000. Region A’s increase was relatively small, suggesting more stable housing prices compared to the other regions.
To summarise, although all three regions experienced a rise in housing costs from 2010 to 2020, Region C remained the most expensive, and Region A continued to have the most affordable housing throughout the period.
