The bar chart illustrates the number of library books borrowed were borrowed from Lammertown Public Labrary across six categories from 1991 to 2001. Concurrently the pie chart gives information about the membership status in 2010.
Overall, the number of borrowed books in most categories increased, exept for crime novels and children’s fiction. Additionally the library’s membership in 2010 was made up approximately two-third female and one-third male.
In terms of the bar chart, crime novels showed the reduction in the number of books borrowed nearly 500 in 1991 to more than 200 in 2001. Similarly, the proportion of borrowed children’s fiction also halved close to 360. However, all the categories of books experienced an increase in borrowing during this period. The most notable rise was in self-improvement books, which surged from 200 in 1991 to nearly 1000 in 2001. While language books also saw a slight increase of (~ 100 books) and autobiographies still remained stable, with no change in the number of book borrowed over the ten-year period.
Looking at the pie chart, women accounted for arounf 68% of the library’s membership in 2010, while men made up the remaining 32%
