The bar chart provides information about the distribution of male and female academic staff members across various faculties of a prominent university in the year 2012.
Overall, there were fluctuations in the ratio of academic staff rates by gender in several faculties. Notably, the fields of business, engineering, law and science mainly employed male staff members, whereas the arts and education sector showcased a higher proportion of female staff.
Regards to engineering, it was male dominated with almost 82% and female being the least at around 18%. But, education was the highest for the women among all as it was about thrice than men, at above 66% and about 22% respectively. As well as in arts, female rates was a bit higher then male.
In other faculties like business, law and science all of them were men influenced than that of women, at about 63%, 60%, 62% and 38%, 40%, 39% respectively. The medicine faculty was the only one showing about equal number of male and female participants about 50% and 49%.
