The bar chart is an illustration of the amount of male and female academic colleagues in different faculties namely arts, astronomy, history, engineering, law, medicine and science of specific universities in 2008 with the assessed data given in percentage.
Overall, it can be seen that male is interested in most of the faculties in all surveyed staff except in history where female is the most commonly-used branch. Furthermore, the most significant difference in faculties between two genders is on engineering.
From a detailed analysis, in terms of arts, female in this program includes 58% on this as opposed to the males who includes 42%. Similarly, women study more percentage in history than men, accounting for around 62% and 23% respectively. in the field of medicine, female is approximately 2% larger than male.
On the other hand, the amount of people study on the remaining faculties is higher in male. In astronomy, male is under two times as large as female while male is considerably greater than female in engineering.
