The data chart shows the percentages of the UK workforce in the five main industries in 1841 and 2011. There are two industries that had increased the amount of laborers while the other three had declined.
To begin with, the services industry had the most percentage in 2011 by sharply rising almost three times from 1841 whereas the Agriculture industry had decreased from slightly over a fifth to only 1%, which is the same number for the energy industry in 2011 that also had dropped from 3%. Moving onto another industry that had plummeted, the manufacturing industry had significantly reduced their laborers by four times.
The interesting point is the number of the services industry had significantly escalated to 81%, in 2011, that the sum of four industries will be only around a fourth of it. However, the construction industry had also climbed up, but It was a low number by just 3% more from 1841.
On the whole, it can be seen that the services industry had multiplied a massive amount of its workforce. In the same time, the construction had also increased but not as much as the number one. In contrast, the three industries had all decreased.
