The illustration of the pie charts show the percentage of water usuage for different purposes in six areas of the world which are North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia.
In three of those regions which are Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia, water use for agricultural is more than the total water consumption for other purposes in each areas. Other three regions use water for agriculture purpose but their usage of water for agribusiness is not more than the other three regions’ usage of water for agriculture purposes.
Both North America and Europe use much less water in agriculture although they use 13% and 15% each in dosmestic use. South America use much more water for domestic purpose compared to other four regions. Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia use almost similar amount of water for internally.
Apart from other five regions, the region with the largest amount of water usuage for industrial purpose is Europe. Central Asia uses the least amount of water in industries. The two areas which has almost similar amount of water usuage for industrial purpose are Africa and South East Asia with 7% and 12% respectively.
