Overall, destinations of nursing graduates in the UK in 2009 showed the biggest proportion of people working in the health sector, followed by further study and other areas, and lastly, unemplyed, with further study and other. It is also clear that majority of people opted to work as hospital nurse, followed by midwives, and community nurses, and lastly, as paramedics , mental nurse and other.
Focusing on the bar chart, first 84% of nursing graduated from nursing opted to work in the health sector. The next come, working and study, where 8% of people chose to do, almost double that of unemployed,with 4%. The figure for people chose further study and others were similar, at 2%.
When it comes to the table, 72.9% of people, working in health sector,opted for hospital nurses. Midwives and community nurses followed far behind, with respective percentages of 12.4% and 10.3%. The percentage of people who chose to work in other and as paramedics was 2.7% and 1.3% respectively. The lowest figure was observed in percentage of people opted to become a mental nurses, with 0.4%.
