Two given bar charts depict changes in household in the UK in two different years (1981 and 2001).
Overall, the common sized households were 2-people and 3-people households which experienced increase in number in the 20-year period. On the other hand, rest of household types with 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-person were less common and dropped in the same time period.
It is obvious from chart that among the UK people the small sized families were more popular than in extended one in both given years. So that, the percentage of petite families with one and two persons in each showed the increase from 17% to 26% in 1-person household by extreme 9% expansion, and also 3% raise from 31% to 34% in two-person families from 1981 to 2001. Despite the fact, that the house with one habitant experienced significant increase, the 2-person home remained the most popular family type between others even after 20 years.
Other four kind of families (with three, four, five and six family members) faced decrease in their share. The highest decline was related to 6-person household, which dropped three times in percentage to 2% up to 2001. While families with five members dropped only for 2%, the 4- and 3-person households reduced by 3 % equally by 20-year period, consequently were at 15% and 17% respectively in 2001.
