Overall, it can be seen that most of the people prefered living together (2 people) in both years, while the lowest number of people lived in a big family (6 people) in 1981 and 2001.
According to the information, in 1981 the percentage of household, where 2 people were lived was 31%, while in 2001 this number increased gradually to 34%. Likewise, the number of people preffering living alone in 1981 was only 17% and it raised to 26% in 2001.
Looking at the tiny number of both graphs, it can be mentioned that in 1981 just 6% of UK’s families were living in a house that contained 6 people. However, this trend changed slightly to 2% in 2001. In contrast, the percentage of families including 3 people in 1981 was equal to 20% and over the time declined to 17% (2001).
