The bar chart presents to us the levels of education in Glasglow, Scotland in its population between the age of 16 years old to 75 and up.
We can noticed that the age groups between 16 years old and 50 years old possess similar data, compared to the 75 and up group, where three quarters do not possess any certificates.
The age groups of 16 to 50 years old have similar informations, where the lack of educational certificates is of 9% everywhere. However, for school certificates, we can point out that 29% 16 to 24 years old possess a school certificates, compared to the rest. Furthermore, 24 to 35 years old possess the most of university degrees (76%), and similar data for the 16 to 24 and 35 to 50 (71%).
As for the 50 and 75 years old and up, their data are a stark contrast to the previous ones. Just between the 50 and 75 years old, and the 75 years old and plus, we can see a big difference in the lack of certification. Whilst only 20% have obtained their school diplomas and 30% don’t have one, 72% of the population older than 75 years old do not have an educational certification, and a measly 3% have obtained a school diploma. The remaining 50% and 25% respectively have a universtiy degree in their posession.
