The bar chart shows the percentage of people in Britain who donated money to charity by age group in two years, 1990 and 2010.
In general, it can be seen that the middle-aged people gave more money than other age groups in both years. Also, there was a small decrease in most age groups from 1990 to 2010.
In 1990, the highest number of charity givers was in 36 to 50 age group, around 42%. The 51 to 65 group was also high, nearly 35%. Younger people (18-25) gave the least, only about 17%. People between 26 and 35 years old donated about 30%.
In 2010, the pattern changed a little. The age group 51 to 65 became the top donors, with about 39%. The percentage for 36 to 50 group went down to about 35%. The 18 to 25 group stayed the lowest, around 7%. Most groups decreased, except the oldest group (over 65), which increased from about 32% to nearly 35%.
