Overall, it can be clearly seen that the percentage of 18-24 age people who went to gym increased significantly over the years, which was the highest amount in different age groups, while the proportion of 45 and over age citizens was the lowest percentage over 20 years in European.
As shown in the illustration, the percentages of all European citizens who went to gym stood at below 10% in 1990. However, they increased dramatically to the highest rate over 20 years. By 1994, the proportion of 18-24 age people was lower than that of 25-34 age people. However, the rate of citizens (18-24 age) rose noticeably to the highest point, at nearly 60% in 2006. But, it decreased slightly to nearly 50% in 2008. Moreover, it reached a peak of nearly 60% in 2010. There was a dramatic increase in the percentage of 25-34 age citizens who visited to the gym, which showed about 50% in 2010.
In addition, the lowest number of 45 and over age citizens visited to the gym in 1990, with only 3% approximately. Over the 20 years, it went up considerably to just nearly 20% in 2010. Furthermore, there had been a low percentage in the 35-44 age people by 1990, and it also went upward trend to 40% in 2010.
