The table chart illustrates the exports turnover of Southland from 2000 to 2015 and expected in 2025, divided into international tourism, daily products and meat products, measured in billion pounds.
Overall, there were predictions that the revenue contributed from international tourism will increase, while that of meat products will decline slightly. In addition, the distribution of daily products saw a rise and forecasted a small decrease.
To begin with, the revenue contributed from international travelers started at over £8 billion in 2000, which was estimated to rise to £10 billion in 2025. On the other hand, the proceeds from meat products were projected to drop from £6 billion to £5 billion in 2025, which was always the lowest figure in the whole time period.
A different pattern emerged for daily products, which was £7 billion in 2000, followed by a growth to £10 billion in 2015 and an expectation to decrease to £9.5 billion at the end of the period.
