The bar chart compares 3 sectors(International tourism, dairy produce and meat products ) in terms of their exports from Southland in the years 2000, 2015 and the predictions for 2025. Units are measured in billions of pounds sterling.
Overall, meat products generate the least amount of money in all years, while also being the only figure witnessing a consistent drop. It is clear that Southland is expected to receive more money with international tourism in comparison with the remaining exports.
International tourism and dairy products, co-dominating export industry, made over 8 billion and 7 billion pounds in 2000, a figure which rose to exactly 9 billion and 10 billion pounds in 2015, respectively. That of meat products, however, declined from 6 billion pounds in 2000 to around 5.5 billion pounds in 2015.
Anticipation for international tourism is quite optimistic, with the drawn amount reaching a massive 10 billion pounds by 2025. Dairy and meat products each are projected to bring in 0.5 billion pounds lower than a decade ago, ending up at 9.5 billion and 5 billion pounds respectively.
