In contrast, meat exports started at 6 billion pounds in 2000 but fell to 5.5 billion in 2015 and are expected to decline further to 5 billion pounds in 2025.
For dairy products, sales began at 7 billion pounds in 2000, dramatically increasing to 10 billion pounds in 2015. However, projections indicate a slight decrease to just below 10 billion pounds in 2025.
