The presented bar chart examines the proportion of each of the main exports in Southland for the years 2000, 2024 and 2025.
From 2000 to 2024, international tourism increased and accorging to the forecast it will keep on rising. In contrast, the meat prooucts sector experiences the opposite trend. It steadily fell and will continue to decrease. As tar as the dairy products export is concerned, it has reached a high in 2024 and will slowly decline during 2025.
In addition, the peak of travelling sector will be in 2025, reaching a mark of 10 billion. As regards dairy products, it’s value rose signiticantly by 3 billion in 2024 and will fall by around 0,5 billion in 2025. Furthermore, the meat products sector was at 6 billion in 2000, but it will decrease to 5 billion in 2025.
Overall, international tourism and dairy products exports play an essentiar role in the Southland’s economy due to its total share, while the meat products sector continually loses its part.
