The bar chart illustrates the proportion of teenage students from 11 to 16 in the UK who attended school by five different modes in 2013.
Overall, it can be seen that most of the students chose to walk as for short distances with the opposite of children who chose to take bus to go to school. The remaining students were dropped off by car and the lowest number for those who ride bicycles.
Regarding less 2 miles, the percentages of student going to school by walk ha a peak at over 80% for under 1 mile, while the bicycle, car and bus decreased approximately 10%, 5% and 1% respectively. By following, the proportion walking ranked in the first of 1 to 2 miles distance over 60%. Although, the car option rose tripples, it rared at second. Next to comperasion, the decreasing of bus and bicycle at 10% to 9% respectively.
Concerning the remaining with 2 to 5 miles, the car exhibited a peak to around 35%, following this, the bus and walk modes recorded to second and third level with over 30% and about 25%. Meanwhile, the percentages of student using the bicycles recorded slightly decreasing at approximately 10%.
By over 5 miles, exhibiting of walking almost 0%. Nonetheless then, the other modes rose dramatically with bicycle (5%) to bus (30%). Finally, the bus recorded at a peak to over 60% for bus.
