Overall, there were increases across all types of export products. Most products experienced notable increases, while soybeans saw a dramatic leap in value.
On the one hand, beef and pork export values notably changed. In 2019, beef’s export reached approximately $5.5 billion dollars, while pork’s export reached slightly higher at $6 billion. In 2020, however, beef exports improved, gradually rising up to $6 billion, alongside pork exports slowly surging up to $7.5 billion.
On the other hand, corn and soybeans export values experienced a more remarkable rise. In 2019, corn exports hit nearly $7 billion, while soybean exports attained at a significantly higher mark at $18 billion. However, in 2020, corn exports saw a moderate upsurge to $9 billion, while soybean exports boomed sharply to $26 billion.
