The bar chart describes changes of donation among people of different ages in Canada from 2000 to 2015
Overall, the proportion of donors decreased during the course of 15 years, even though the change in each group did not happen in the same way.
In 2000, the percentage of donors from groups of 35 to 49 was the highest at almost 40%, followed by the figures of about 35% and 31% of groups of age of 50-to-64 and 65 and over, respectively. The highest percentage was approximately 10% higher than the figure of the group of 25 to 34, and 20% larger than that of the youngest age group.
15 years later, the proportion of Canadian donors of the 3 youngest groups declined. While the figures of donors of age groups 25 to 34 and 35 to 49 dropped by about 10%, that of the youngest one halved. This youngest group had the least donors in Canada throughout the years. In contrast, the percentage of donors from the 2 oldest groups went up. The proportion of donors in the age group from 50 to 64 reached a peak at more than 37%, which was nearly 5% higher than the proportion of donors in the senior group of more than 65 years old.
