The graph indicates the annual revenues of three department stores in a UK city from 2001 to 2015. Two department stores, Grand Mall and Owens, dropped their revenues, just after J&W started to operate stores in 2007.

For the first couple of years, Grand Mall and Owens were recording around forty to fifty million pounds and thirty million pounds every year, respectively. Both departments had been keeping the momentum for five years. Despite the fact, J&W had continued to put 0 on the graph until 2006.

From 2007, J&W showed a sharp revenue increase. J&W exceeded other two stores’ revenue in 2011. You can see that this trend continued until the end of the graph. On the contrary, the other two stores dropped their revenue from 2007. They could not make a comeback in next eight years. However, after Owens dropped the revenue, they slightly increased it and became the second biggest department store in the graph with around twenty-eight million pounds.
