By and large, the landfill method witnessed a significant decrease in throughout 4 periods. By contrast, although disposal waste by burning experienced a similar declined trend as landfill method, however, a year later it returned to its intital level. Additionally, dumping in sea showed a fluctuated decrease from 2005 to 2008.
Beginning with disposal by landfill, this treatment was the method that used the most in 2005, which was for dumping 70 million tonnes of waste. However, in the next 3 years, it was declined steadily 10 million tonnes of waste for the following years. Similarly, dumping in sea experienced a significant drop, with a data from nearly 55 million tonnes to 50 million tonnes, and reach the lowest point at 40 million tonnes.
In the meantime, in 2005 the waste that was treated by incineration was approximately 65 million tonnes. Then, 2 years later it decreased rapidly from 60 million tonnes to 40 million tonnes which reached the same point as 2 other treatments in 2008. However, this method recovered fastly into its starting point at 65 million tonnes and became a dominant method in the end of the period.
