The pie charts compare the global market share of three computer operating systems (OS 1, OS 2, and OS 3) alongside other systems between 2012 and 2015.
Overall, OS 1 experienced steady and substantial growth, overtaking all other systems by the end of the period. Meanwhile, other operating systems saw a continuous decline, while OS 2 maintained a stable share, and OS 3 fluctuated slightly.
At the beginning of the period, other systems accounted for nearly half of the market at 48%, but this figure dropped sharply each year, reaching just 15% by 2015. In contrast, OS 1 gained prominence, rising from 20% in 2012 to 38% in 2013, then increasing further to 47% in 2014 before peaking at 52% in the final year.
OS 2 remained relatively unchanged, holding 17% in both 2012 and 2013 before increasing marginally to 18% in 2014 and maintaining this level in 2015. OS 3, on the other hand, started at 15% in 2012 but experienced a dip to 10% in 2013. It then recovered slightly to 12% in 2014 and returned to its original 15% share in 2015
