The given pie charts depict the proportion of average family spending in Japan and Malaysia in 2010. In general, it is clear from the charts that food and other food services cost is the highest percentage in Japan, whereas housing is the most popular in Malaysia.
In Japan, above a quarter of expenses regarding other and good services are at 29%, followed by food (24%), and housing and transport for each around 20%. The Citizens only spent 6% in health care expenditures.
Turning to the pie chart on the right side, showing Malaysia’s condition, a third of household expenses for housing, which is 34%. Food was the secondary focus in that area for 27% of the society. For health care, it is quite similar to Japan, with only 3% of family expenses.
In conclusion, both of these countries have similar conditions for household expenditure. They have different options for the highest priority.
