The pie charts compare the percentage of the variety of energy used in manufacture in France between 1995 and 2005.
Overall, coal was by far the most popular energy produced during the entire period. Regarding changes in each energy’s patterns, the proportion of petrol produced witnessed a downward trend while the other took the opposite direction after a 10-year period.
In 1995, there was 29,8% of coal produced in France, making it the most popular energy. This was followed by the figure of gas, at around 29,63%, surpassing the figure for petrol by the margin of 0,27%. The remaining categories show minor disparity, ranging from 5% to 6%.
Thereafter, the year 2005 witnessed a surge to 30,93% in the proportion of coal, still ranking first. gas and nuclear followed a similar pattern, but more pronounced, both rocketing to 30,31% and 9,1% respectively. Conversely, there was a plunge by 10% to reach the trough of nearly 20%. Meanwhile, other kinds of energy exhibited a notable rise to 10,10% at the end of the period.
