The information of various methods of waste treatment in a European nation over the span between 2005 and 2008.
In general view, it is clear that amount of waste treated by landfill and dumping in sea has generally fallen over the course. On the other hand, burning has returned as a conventional method of treatment after 3 years declining.
In terms of landfill method, in 2005, this nation recorded that there were 70 million tonnes of rubbish was buried in massive sites. This amount was observed to decrease by 10 million tones in the next year. Noticeably, the pace of reduction in this way of waste processing is maintained at 10 million each year until 2008.
When it comes to burning, it is the second most common way of handling waste in 2005. In this year, 65 million tones of trash was burned. This figure decline slowly to 60 million tones in 2006. In the next year, amount of trash treated in use of burning plummeted by 20 million tones and hit the bototm at 40 million tones. But in 2008, the figure underwent a surge to the starting value.
Take a closer look at the least popular method called dumping in sea, it is observable that approximately 55 million tones of trast was throwed away in 2005. After a year, the statistics of this approach plunged gradually to 50 million tones of waste. In 2007, amount of trash handled by dumping remain unchanged, then it decline to 40 million tones in 2008.
