The chart discuss the different methods European countries between the years 2005 to 2008 disposed of waste. As seen there are 3 type of ways: landfill, burning, and dumping in the sea.

In 2005, landfill scored highest with 2000 in the amount in millions in waste, then comes dumping in the sea by 1200 and burning method by 800. As for the year 2006, the landfill has decreased by 500, dumping in sea increase by 300, and burning rised by 200. And by the year 2008, the landfil decreased further to 1200, dumping in sea has risen even higher to 1600, and burning has went back to 2005 amount.

There is noticeable difference between these years, we observe the technique to get rid of the waste by landfills has lowered gradually, the disposal in sea has went above even higher, and the burning has increased and decreased back.

The disposal through the body of water should stop since it effect the most to our environment. The United Nation(UN) acknowledge this concern and develop regulation of the amount of waste that can be disposed through the sea.
