The bar chart reveals the variety of ways that European nations handle one use of trash over the period of three years, starting from 2005. It is clear to see that there is a transparent change in the selection of methods.
Overall, in the year 2005 landfill was the best strategy used, however in 2008 dumping in the sea means taking over landfill, became the way was used the most. Besides, the majority of million rush tons were eliminated by landfill, then dumping in sea and the last was burning except in the year 2008 which showed a reverse change between first and second position. Especially the development of landfill and dumping were a contradiction, one goes consistently declined, one goes steadily climbed.
Regarding landfill and drop in sea methods, in 2005 the number of waste tonnes handled by landfill took the lead with 2000 tonnes, there was a widening gap between dumping the sea (1200 tonnes) and burning (900 tonnes). After three years, whereas the gradual increase over the years of use dumping went to 1600 tonnes, the many trash disposed of in landfill was decreased by 800 tonnes.
Concerning the burning approach, commencing with 900 tonnes it only had a potential shift that grew to 1200 tonnes in 2006 but then it recovered its initial position.
