The bar chart illustrates about three different methods of waste disposal namely landfill, burning and dumping at sea in one European country between 2005 and 2008.
Overall, it is clear that over four years waste disposal by landfill decreased sharply, while waste disposal by burning increased considerably. Landfill hit the highest point.
From 2005 to 2006, methods by landfill had a plummet from 1800mt to 1200 mt, while burning rose slowly by about 100 mt. However, dumping at sea after a year remained unchanged, with a value of 600 mt. in 2006, burning and dumping at sea had the same value of 600 mt .
Over the next 2 years, the amount of waste disposing by burning increased from about 700 mt to approximately 900 mt, meanwhile landfill decreased sharply from 900 mt to 600 mt . 2 years ago, there was no change in dumping at sea, but between 2007 and 2008 there was a slightly decrease from 600 mt to a little below 600 mt
