Overall, the percentage of fuel used in transport in Slovakia and Spain experienced a decrease by time, while Italy, France, Greece had the higher consumption rate, and the figure of Australia remained unchanged. In addition, Slovakia used the most fuel, also higher than EU average in the given period.
In 2009, while Slovakia had the highest consumption in fuel, with around 8.8 percent, Greece accounted for 1.2 percent and became the least fuel consumer, compared to EU average (about 6 percent). Following this, Spain and France witnessed a similar figure, around 4.8 percent. Additionally, roughly 4.5 percent and 5.2 percent of fuel are consumed by Italy and Australia respectively in transport in the year 2019.
In terms of the year 2010, which witnessed some changes from the last year. With Slovakia, it was a decrease to 6.5 percent, but still remained to the highest percentage of fuel consumption. Similarly, Spain declined for it figure to 3 percent. Australia remained stable at around 5.2 percent in 2 given years, while Italy and France used more fuel than 2009, about 5.2 of Italy and 4.3 percent of France in 2010.
