Overall, it is notable that all countries experienced an upward trend or remained stable, while the figure for Sweden saw a downward. The USA had the highest aid compared to other nations throughout the period.
In 2008, the highest aid was recorded in the USA, at around 22 billion dollars. This was followed by Japan, Germany, and the UK, as their figures ranged from 12 billion to 8 billion dollars. The figure for Neverlands was similar to that of Sweden, at approximately 7 billion dollars.
Thereafter, the amount of money supported to the USA slightly dropped to 18 billion dollars, before reaching a peak of 25 billion dollars, remained the top position. A similar trend can be seen in the UK, which grew by nearly 15 billion dollars. In contrast, Germany and Japan’s aid fluctuated through the period, before ending at 11 billion dollars and 13 billion dollars, respectively. Having an opposite trajectory, the figures for the Netherlands and Sweden rose to a high in 2009 but later dropped to 8 billion and 5 billion dollars, respectively in 2010.
